Postdoctoral Fellowship

Join Our Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (Flyer)

The FPCS / Jain Lab at Georgia Tech invites outstanding scientists from diverse backgrounds to join as postdoctoral fellows to develop new research directions and/or contribute to existing projects. We are looking for self-motivated, creative researchers eager to lead independent projects while contributing to collaborative, interdisciplinary science.

As a fellow, you will:

  • Conduct high-impact research in cutting-edge areas of fluid dynamics and computation.
  • Collaborate with faculty and research groups across Georgia Tech and beyond.
  • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Engage in the vibrant educational and research activities of our community.

Research Areas of Interest:

  • Multiphase flows
  • Turbulence
  • Machine learning for fluid dynamics
  • Computational science
  • High-performance computing

We welcome applications in one or more of these areas, or at their intersections.

Why FPCS Lab at GT?

The Flow Physics and Computational Science Lab advances the physics-based and computational modeling of fluid flows across multiple scales and physical regimes. Our work focuses on multiphase flows, turbulence, compressible flows, and fluid–structure interactions, while also pushing the frontiers of robust numerical methods, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.

By integrating fundamental fluid mechanics with cutting-edge computational tools, we address grand challenges in propulsion, energy systems, aerospace design, chemical and thermal sciences, and environmental and climate-related flows. Applications of our research span from enabling next-generation aerospace technologies to advancing sustainable energy solutions and improving predictions of natural and engineered flow systems.

Our vision is to make the FPCS Lab a global epicenter for computational fluids research. Join us at one of the world’s top-ranked engineering universities and be part of this journey.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Strong record of scholarly publications.
  • Expertise in at least one research area listed above.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
